Winder Power are exhibiting at Euro TechCon 2018 hosted at The Principal St David’s Hotel in Cardiff. The conference takes place over 3 days in December to bring together companies in the engineering industry where attendees include manufacturers, consultants, electrical engineers, maintenance managers and service providers.
Winder will be showcasing their products with a key focus on noise reduction and Low Noise Transformer solutions. Winder Power’s Elizabeth Mackenzie will be presenting ‘A Manufacturer’s Experience of Low Noise Transformer Tests.’
All transformers produce audible noise when energised. In certain cases, for example where a transformer is installed close to a built-up area, there is a requirement for extra-low noise emission from the transformer. In addition, many local authorities in the UK are now making this a condition for planning permission for the substation, so it becomes part of the specification of the transformer.
Winder Power has extensive experience of the design, build, test and installation of Low Noise Transformers. All transformers are tested to IEC60076-10. With our UK based manufacturing facility, we can also work to industry-leading lead times.
