The Winder Power team is celebrating the milestone of 5 years without a lost time or reportable incident.
Following hot on the heels of the company’s re-certification of its ISO accreditations, this major achievement confirms Winder Power’s commitment to the health and safety of its workforce.
With health and safety even meriting its own agenda item at the company’s monthly board meetings, there can be no doubt of its importance to the business as a whole, as chief executive Laurence MacKenzie explains.
“When we took over the company we had a very clear idea of what we wanted to achieve, and our health and safety record sits at the very heart of our growth plans. Our colleagues have the right to work in a safe and forward-thinking environment, and our customers need to be confident that we will match their high expectations in this regard.”
This year Winder Power has also been presented with a ROSPA Gold Award for the second year running in recognition of its commitment to health and safety, as well as actively encouraging any member of staff with an idea that could further improve workplace safety to raise it at team meetings.
The company now aims to continue this run with the help of its dedicated QA and Health and Safety Manager, Paul Fulton.
