HSEQ Manager – APPLY NOW!!


  • To lead, develop and maintain company HSEQ management programmes and systems
  • Be responsible for monitoring the standards of goods in, manufacturing process control and final inspection;
  • To provide regular reporting of non-conformance status covering process, components and manufactured products
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction.

MAIN DUTIES (Duties/Responsibilities):-

  • Manage, maintain and improve the Company integrated Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management System to ISO9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001 externally audited standards, including assessing and upgrading the company Quality Control Plan;
  • Follow non-conformance issues through to completion;
  • Carry out supplier audits;
  • Facilitate assessments from the certification body, customers and other interested parties;
  • Assess and upgrade supplied parts inspection reporting system;
  • Introduce upgraded parts labelling and tracking methods;
  • Ensure equipment is installed safely;
  • Study manufacturing documentation ensuring correct manufacturing issue;
  • Carry out regular checks of policies and procedures and that they are being properly implemented;
  • Conduct HSEQ internal surveys, investigations and audits, overseeing the delivery of corrective action outcomes and effective records and monitor customer quality satisfaction;
  • Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements;
  • Develop and operate a raid response system for dealing with supplier, process or customer non-conformance (Communicate with customers and suppliers during the non-conformance process);
  • Continuously liaise with Sales, Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Quality Assurance;
  • Management of Tool Box talks in conjunction with line Managers;
  • Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced;
  • Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards;
  • Provide a professional service to all Management to promote and maintain the HSEQ culture;
  • Implementation of new or existing HSEQ related legislation and identify any training requirements;
  • Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks;
  • Investigate accidents/incidents, liaise with interested parties, ensure all documentation is completed and facilitate corrective actions where necessary and produce statistics for managers;
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer’s industry and lead operational reviews and change requirements to maintain compliance;
  • Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins;
  • Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation;
  • Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances, e.g. asbestos;
  • Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases;
  • Provide regular situation reports to the manager and the team;
  • Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team


  • GCSEs High school or equivalent;
  • NEBOSH / IOSH Managing safely certificate;
  • Can conduct HSEQ internal surveys, investigation and audits;
  • Produce SHEQ related management reports;
  • It would be beneficial to have ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards internal audit qualifications (e.g. certificates from courses run by Accreditation Organisation such as the BSI);
  • Previous Health and safety environmental experience;
  • COSHH Assessments experience;
  • Risk and method statement experience;
  • BSI Audit Skills experience;
  • Management of Tool Box talks (Desirable);
  • Fire Assessments experience (Desirable);
  • Environmental certification (Desirable).

Salary: £35,000.00 to £40,000.00 /year
