Quality Inspector

Permanent / Full Time
27-32k per annum

Main Duties

  • Inspecting purchased products as part of the goods inwards process.
  • Managing and filing test certificates and certificates of conformity at goods inwards.
  • Conducting and reporting final inspections to the production team.
  • Highlight issues identified at inspection and reporting back to the appropriate departments.
  • Controlling rejected products and where appropriate returning these to suppliers
  • Working with the quality engineers to complete and action non-conforming products and reports.
  • Recommending adjustments to the assembly or production process.
  • upholding safety standards during production, testing at various stages to ensure it meets all quality standards and listening to customer feedback
  • Monitoring operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
  • Provide regular situation reports to the manager and the team.
  • Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.
  • Promote teamwork and co-operation at all times, both within individual depots and right across the entire Winder Power group.
  • Safeguard all Company assets; Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect.

Requirements to carry out the role

  • GCSEs High school or equivalent;
  • An understanding of industry safety standards.
  • Relevant degrees include production management, business management and manufacturing in engineering
  • Experience in similar role (Manufacturing preffered)
