Electrical Controls Design Engineer

Permanent / Full Time
40-45k per annum

Main Duties

Duties/Responsibilities: –

  • Production of electrical schematic drawings from specifications.
  • Modifying existing drawings in line with customers comments.
  • Provide technical support to the following departments within the business, site services, test, and switchgear.
  • Have a good understanding of all aspects of Microsoft office.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that electrical components, are manufactured to the required specification, delivered on time, and within budget.
  • Attending both in-house and external meetings.
  • Constructing and modifying BOM’s (Bill of Materials) and releasing the appropriate design information to other departments.
  • Working to deadlines in a professional manner.
  • Carry out any reasonable duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.
  • Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect.
  • All information is to be dealt with in line with General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

Requirements to carry out the role

Qualifications/Skills required for the role:

  • Ability to read both electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail are essential.
  • The ability to work to targets as part of a small team.
