Electrical Controls Design Engineer

Permanent / Full Time

40-45k per annum

Main Duties

Duties/Responsibilities: –

Production of electrical schematic drawings from specifications.
Modifying existing drawings in line with customers comments.
Provide technical support to the following departments within the business, site services, test, and switchgear.
Have a good understanding of all aspects of Microsoft office.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure that electrical components, are manufactured to the required specification, delivered on time, and within budget.
Attending both in-house and external meetings.
Constructing and modifying BOM’s (Bill of Materials) and releasing the appropriate design information to other departments.
Working to deadlines in a professional manner.
Carry out any reasonable duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.
Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect.

Qualifications/Skills required for the role:

Ability to read both electrical and mechanical drawings.
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail are essential.
The ability to work to targets as part of a small team.
