Supporting the Next Generation of Engineers

At Winder Power, we’re proud to help shape the future of engineering by giving young people the chance to learn, grow, and build their careers with us.

This year, we’ve welcomed 4 new apprentices to the team. They’ve started their 4 year Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship, which will give them a strong mix of classroom learning as well as hands on experience. Over the next few years, they’ll be working alongside our experienced engineers, learning the ropes and building the skills they need to succeed in the industry.

They join 4 other apprentices who are already part of the programme and are at different stages of their training. Together, they make up a growing team of future engineers who are already making a difference across our business.

We work closely with Appris, a leading training provider based in Yorkshire, to deliver excellent education and support. Their partnership helps ensure our apprentices get the best possible start, with access to expert teaching and practical training that matches the needs of the power engineering sector.

Apprenticeships are a key part of our longer term commitment to developing talent and supporting local careers. We know that investing in people is just as important as investing in technology – and we’re excited to see how each apprentice grows over the coming years.

We’ll be sharing more about their progress and achievements as they move through their training. For now, we’d like to say a big welcome to our new starters – and a thank you to the whole apprentice team for the energy and hard work they bring to Winder Power each day.
