CEO steps down at Winder Power

Winder Power has announced that current Chief Executive Officer, Laurence MacKenzie, has left the company with immediate effect, General Manager Paul Matthews will assume the new role of Managing Director.

Elsewhere the team remains the same, with Andy Pinkney and Andy Mill continuing in their roles, and Harry McCracken and Wayne Thomas maintaining their interests as Chairman and Non-executive Director respectively.

Commenting on the announcement, Managing Director Paul Matthews said; “For Andy Pinkney and I it is very much business as usual in terms of the day-to-day running of the business, and between us we now have over 40 years experience invested in Winder Power.

“Our aim is to build on the strong foundations of the business, and to continue to invest in our manufacturing and test facilities, customer service and health and safety departments.

Chairman Harry McCracken added; “Whilst we are sad to say goodbye to Laurence, we wish him all the best for the future and I would like to add my personal thanks for his hard work over the past 8 years. The non-executive board and I also have every confidence in the management team as they look to build on the successes of recent years.”

The company has enjoyed a very productive start to the year, with orders up 40% on last year, and a raft of new initiatives underway that will add further value to the business.
