As we mark National Engineering Week (February 16-22), Winder Power is proud to celebrate the incredible contributions of our engineering team and the many individuals who work together to deliver world-class power solutions. This week is an opportunity to reflect on the vital role engineering plays in powering communities, industries, and infrastructure – and to recognise the dedication and skill of every member of our team.
Manufacturing Excellence: Proudly Made in the UK
At the heart of Winder Power is our factory in Leeds, where every transformer is proudly designed and manufactured in the UK. Our commitment to UK manufacturing reflects not only our dedication to quality but also our belief in supporting British industry and innovation.
From initial designs to final installation, our Leeds facility is the hub of precision and teamwork. The process begins with our talented design team, who create bespoke solutions tailored to our customers’ needs. From there, our expert winders, erection specialists and fitters bring those designs to life, ensuring every transformer meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Onsite Field Engineers: Powering Communities
Once the manufacturing process is complete, our onsite field engineers step in to install and maintain our transformers across the UK. These dedicated professionals ensure that our solutions perform flawlessly, delivering power safely and efficiently to critical sites. Their hands-on expertise is essential to the seamless operation of infrastructure, and we are incredibly proud of the work they do every day.
Recognising the Whole Team
Engineering is a collaborative effort, and the success of our projects depends on more than just the factory floor. We would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the invaluable contributions of every department at Winder Power:
- Procurement: Ensuring we have the materials and resources to deliver on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Accounts: Managing budgets, finances, and logistics to keep our operations running smoothly.
- Sales and Project Managers: Building strong relationships with customers and coordinating every detail of our projects to meet and exceed expectations.
- Office Staff: Providing the essential support and organisation that keeps Winder Power moving forward.
Every role is critical to our mission of powering communities and industries, and we are proud of the team that makes it all happen.
Our Commitment to Engineering Excellence
We are more than a manufacturer – we are innovators, problem solvers, and partners in progress. Our commitment to engineering excellence drives us to deliver solutions that are sustainable, reliable, and tailored to our customers’ needs. From cutting-edge technology to our focus on employee training and development, we strive to set the standard for excellence in everything we do.
A Shared Vision for the Future
National Engineering Week is a time to celebrate the achievements of engineers everywhere, but it’s also an opportunity to look to the future. At Winder Power, we are committed to fostering innovation, sustainability, and collaboration as we continue to grow and evolve in the years ahead.
To our designers, winders, fitters, field engineers, and team members across procurement, accounts, sales, project management, and office support – thank you for the passion, expertise, and dedication you bring to Winder Power.
Happy National Engineering Week!
