A move to fantastic new premises

In 2008 Winder Power moved to newer and larger premises in Stanningley, just around the corner from its previous home but another world away in terms of facilities. This move brought a new dimension to the company’s capabilities and also to its commitment to customer service. The new headquarters provide enhanced facilities for continued growth of its power and distribution transformer business for utilities transportation and industry. The new premises nearly doubles Winder Power’s manufacturing capability, offering larger crane facilities, room for a new test laboratory and providing a more efficient office environment for the growing design, sales and business support teams. Manufacturing space has also increased, which has enhanced productivity.

The company underwent a management buy-out, which in turn saw the installation of a senior management team and a new chairman at the head of the business. The aim of this was to enhance Winder Power’s growth, the services we offer and utility contracts won. The team has been highly successful and has created a strong platform that has the ability to refocus and develop the business.
