Spent all his working life in the manufacturing sector, mainly in electrical machinery. Formative years in the Electric Motor division of Hawker Siddeley: was part of the management team during its expansion from £17m to£430m turnover, much through mergers and acquisitions.
Spent 15 years in private sector building and consolidating manufacturing businesses.

Having studied at Nottingham University, joined the company in the summer of 1992 as a Transformer Design Engineer. Within 5 years was promoted to Design Manager overseeing all aspects of the company’s design and drawing requirements.
In 2001 became Sales and Technical Director, combining both skills to secure the company’s first ever “term contract”.
In September 2004 was promoted to General Manager, with a view to expanding the company’s share of the new transformer market.
Joined the company in 1986 as an apprentice fabricator/welder. Over the years has gained experience in every area of the business. In 1994 was promoted and moved to the office from the shop floor. Has worked in every department, including, sales, contracts, projects and engineering, which has assisted in gaining a broad general knowledge of all disciplines.
Current position is Operations Director, and is responsible for 40 employees, as well ensuring that the factory output is achieved in line with company budgets.
Also the Company management representative for ISO 9001:2000QA/H&S.
